X’Tan is far north, quiet and has a great staff!

Responsive and communicative staff. Very helpful. Loved feeding iguanas.

They “upgraded” us from the casitas to an Ocean view condo. Would have preferred a casita with full kitchen even if it’s a little further from the water. The whole island is experiencing power loss. Start asking if your resort has generators! Restaurant has no vegan options.

It was a beautiful resort. The people there were super friendly. We loved Alex at the bar and Reuben at the restaurant. The Casita was sooo much room. The beach being right there was a huge plus

Absolutely beautiful relaxing resort - unfortunate about the sargassum ruining what would have been stunning beaches

The apartment was so lovely, modern but traditional and extremely clean; it was also very well equipped, we even got a welcome coffee pack and rum punch! The bed was unbelievably comfortable, the best we have ever slept in! The resort itself is absolutely beautiful and the atmosphere was so calm and relaxed. We swam every day and getting a sunbed was not an issue whatsoever! The fettuccine Alfredo from the dinner menu was one of the best things I’ve ever eaten! The staff were always very helpful and accommodating. Free bikes to explore if you don’t mind cycling along a busy(ish) straight road with a few trucks and lots of golf buggies.

Quite far North and pretty isolated compared to a few of the other resorts a bit further South, so if you like to go out and about you definitely need a golf buggy ($50 US for 4hrs so quite expensive). The sargassum (seaweed/algae) is a real issue at the moment so you can’t swim in the sea. But the staff are trying really hard to clear it from the beach. We ordered a starter of croquettes and we got about 5 tiny chicken bites with a large side of Cesar salad (which was really nice) but it was just not what we were expecting.

I enjoyed my week’s stay at the resort and will recommend it to others. I had a.

I enjoyed the quiet and serenity of the property. It was well maintained and kept in great condition. The pool was wonderful and having the hammock for evening relaxation was really nice. The food and drinks were great and reasonably priced.

The ocean at the resort you can not swim at this time due to the sargassum in the water. The staff did their best to stay on top of it each day however you could not swim in the water as a result. Secret Beach is a short golf cart ride away so that was fine.

Paradise in Belize

The staff was so helpful and friendly. The resort was kept clean and fresh. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at X'tan Ha.

The sargassum is a big problem but there isn't anything they can do. However they worked hard daily to clean the water and beach.

Excellent

The location was pretty far down the road, but worth is, as the place was beautiful. Staff was extremely accommodating and all of them were so very nice. I have read people complain about seagrass there, our resort worked tirelessly to keep the beach as clean as it could be and had to restart every morning. It is a never-ending task and they did a superior job. The room had a full kitchen, so we were able to have some breakfast in our room. Miss Kim takes care of tours you want to book, she is wonderful. The tours pick you up and drop you off at the dock by your resort, which is excellent. If you want to book a golf cart, it might cost a little more, but book with the place you are staying, they check the gas every other day and fill up there, that way you don't have to go all the way to the 1 gas station in the downtown area.

I would have preferred to pay as I go, instead of them charging everything to the room as far as food and drinks.

It was a wonderful stay and everything we wanted in a relaxing Caribbean resort on the beach.

The layout of the units is excellent, offering both nice views and yet privacy from neighboring units. Eating on the dock under the covered gazebo is wonderful, right next to the water, with very friendly staff. Great location to get away from the hustle of San Pedro, about 30 min. south by golf cart (rent your own at one of the places in San Pedro).

Not really anything to complain seriously about--food could take a long time come, but hey, you're on island time so what else are you supposed to be doing?

Amazing, sweet staff at a super cute resort. Need a golf cart to run the island but fun!

Meals can be at the indoor restaurant or open air around the Tiki Beach bar over the water. Slow service but fresh excellent meals--expect island time!

Everything is super : the units, the staff, the beach… Isolation is a plus to relax. Renting a golf cart is a must for 90% of the people.

Awful Wifi. This complex may need a real restaurant service (the average waiting time for breakfast is 1 hour). Paddle and kayak service is erratic. Guys in charge do not offer the equipment under surprising security motives.

BEST PLACE TO STAY!!

Beautiful setting, peaceful, quiet,clean, friendly staff. Exceeded my expectations. Would definitely recommend it to others. It will be my go-to place to stay when visiting Belize in the future. Cleanest Beach around. They work hard to keep it that way. Food and drinks were good and a decent price. Staff was very attentive and available if you needed anything. About 40 minutes from town, so definitely rent a golf cart. About 15 minutes from Secret Beach. There are some smaller grocery stores nearby and plenty of restaurants within a short drive. Excursions can be booked right at the resort and leave from there. We did not do any as we prefer to explore on our own and relax on the beach.

Super quiet area, beautiful beach that could be a postcard and which makes you not want to leave!

We stayed three nights here during April and had a great time. The hotel is around 20-30 minutes drive from San Pedro and therefore really quiet. The hotel sits between two undeveloped pieces of land, which helps keeping it that way. Due to the reef being around 1km in front of the hotel beach, the water here is very quiet and calm but you can still hear the waves while sitting under the palm trees (with the coconuts removed, no issues to sit under them), super nice and relaxing! We had one of the pool facing casitas and they were comfortable enough. The kitchen was very well equipped, with a huge fridge and all necessary appliances to cook. Useful, since we didn't book the breakfast option due to the price. But since grocery shopping is very expensive on the island (50 USD for a bit of bacon, 4 cups of iced coffee, 1 pack of spread and a pack of 4 muffins), it might be worth adding the breakfast. The hotel has 2 large pools and the beach with nice loungers available at all times. All areas were well maintained and inviting.

The room was quite dark and the view in the back was to the maintenance area. Not the nicest view, but as we spent most of the time outside, it didn't bother us much. Prices at the restaurant are high, but that is the case everywhere in Ambergris Caye and in the few restaurants close by.

Wonderful

The location is about 40 min by golf cart from the ferry in SanPedro downtown. The property itself is very nice and quiet, small but private beach. bar on the waterfront. Rooms were good, kitchen had everything you need. No issues with AC or drinking water (available in the room). We were able to take the snorkeling excursion from this location itself, did not have to go to downtown. Nice calm water, not too deep, perfect for small kids as well. Saw fish and crabs in the shallow water rt off the beach. 2 swimming pools. There is a restaurant on site, menu is very limited but good food, fresh juice etc. The service is very slow so be prepared to wait atleast 45 min if you dont go rt when it opens. They have limited staff. There are other resort restaurants about 15-20 min drive by golfcart. Room service is good. Everyone was very helpful. We enjoyed our stay. If you are looking for peace and quiet, this would be the place.

Very Good

Location was great! 30 minute bike ride to Secret Beach and 20 minute bike ride to San Pedro.

Have hotel staff manage water sports and activities, not a tour guide. We were not allowed to take out kayaks to snorkel the reef on a day when winds and current were low, however the tour guide said we can pay for someone to take us out!
