Paradise in Belize

The staff was so helpful and friendly. The resort was kept clean and fresh. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at X'tan Ha.

The sargassum is a big problem but there isn't anything they can do. However they worked hard daily to clean the water and beach.

I enjoyed my week’s stay at the resort and will recommend it to others. I had a.

I enjoyed the quiet and serenity of the property. It was well maintained and kept in great condition. The pool was wonderful and having the hammock for evening relaxation was really nice. The food and drinks were great and reasonably priced.

The ocean at the resort you can not swim at this time due to the sargassum in the water. The staff did their best to stay on top of it each day however you could not swim in the water as a result. Secret Beach is a short golf cart ride away so that was fine.

Absolutely beautiful relaxing resort - unfortunate about the sargassum ruining what would have been stunning beaches

The apartment was so lovely, modern but traditional and extremely clean; it was also very well equipped, we even got a welcome coffee pack and rum punch! The bed was unbelievably comfortable, the best we have ever slept in! The resort itself is absolutely beautiful and the atmosphere was so calm and relaxed. We swam every day and getting a sunbed was not an issue whatsoever! The fettuccine Alfredo from the dinner menu was one of the best things I’ve ever eaten! The staff were always very helpful and accommodating. Free bikes to explore if you don’t mind cycling along a busy(ish) straight road with a few trucks and lots of golf buggies.

Quite far North and pretty isolated compared to a few of the other resorts a bit further South, so if you like to go out and about you definitely need a golf buggy ($50 US for 4hrs so quite expensive). The sargassum (seaweed/algae) is a real issue at the moment so you can’t swim in the sea. But the staff are trying really hard to clear it from the beach. We ordered a starter of croquettes and we got about 5 tiny chicken bites with a large side of Cesar salad (which was really nice) but it was just not what we were expecting.

Location was great! 30 minute bike ride to Secret Beach and 20 minute bike ride to San Pedro.

Have hotel staff manage water sports and activities, not a tour guide. We were not allowed to take out kayaks to snorkel the reef on a day when winds and current were low, however the tour guide said we can pay for someone to take us out!

Amazing, sweet staff at a super cute resort. Need a golf cart to run the island but fun!

Meals can be at the indoor restaurant or open air around the Tiki Beach bar over the water. Slow service but fresh excellent meals--expect island time!

Excellent

The location was pretty far down the road, but worth is, as the place was beautiful. Staff was extremely accommodating and all of them were so very nice. I have read people complain about seagrass there, our resort worked tirelessly to keep the beach as clean as it could be and had to restart every morning. It is a never-ending task and they did a superior job. The room had a full kitchen, so we were able to have some breakfast in our room. Miss Kim takes care of tours you want to book, she is wonderful. The tours pick you up and drop you off at the dock by your resort, which is excellent. If you want to book a golf cart, it might cost a little more, but book with the place you are staying, they check the gas every other day and fill up there, that way you don't have to go all the way to the 1 gas station in the downtown area.

I would have preferred to pay as I go, instead of them charging everything to the room as far as food and drinks.

BEST PLACE TO STAY!!

Beautiful setting, peaceful, quiet,clean, friendly staff. Exceeded my expectations. Would definitely recommend it to others. It will be my go-to place to stay when visiting Belize in the future. Cleanest Beach around. They work hard to keep it that way. Food and drinks were good and a decent price. Staff was very attentive and available if you needed anything. About 40 minutes from town, so definitely rent a golf cart. About 15 minutes from Secret Beach. There are some smaller grocery stores nearby and plenty of restaurants within a short drive. Excursions can be booked right at the resort and leave from there. We did not do any as we prefer to explore on our own and relax on the beach.

What was the highlight of X'tan Ha- The Waterfront

Welcome upon arrival was organised and friendly. More than half of the rooms have views of the sea and the beach is soft and sandy, with a pool nearby. The food is very tasty overall and you can arrange a number of excursions from the hotel: diving, snorkelling, fishing, catamaran trips, etc. These are arranged through the larger sister hotel Costa Blu not far away. We went diving and snorkelling and found the staff to be highly professional and the equipment was excellent. On massages: Costa Blu spa staff will come to the hotel and will provide massage on the beach or in one's room. There are golf carts on hand for easy hire and there are kayaks available for free. Though there is a lot of seaweed in the water along the beach (see other section), this is not uncommon for resorts there and some resorts have no swimming option in the sea that are seaweed free; you can swim in the sea at this resort and the staff work diligently to ensure the beach is kept clear of seaweed. Overall as well, in terms of the rooms - there were kept very clean by an excellent cleaning crew and they are a well- appointed. A trifle dated but the rooms still felt bright and opened up onto a large balcony overlooking the pool and the sea. Beautiful. One other thing we enjoyed is that there are a couple of nice restaurants along the coast in the area that will provide complementary pick-up by boat for you to go there for dinner, etc. We had a lovely evening dining out in this way!

Great hotel! Beachfront rooms are spectacular, with a full sized kitchen, separate bedroom and sofa beds in the living room for the kids. The big porch is great too. Lots of fresh beach towels every day. The beach is very nice, with lots of free activities for everyone: kayaks, paddleboard, volleyball, trampoline, etc. Food at the restaurant was very good and reasonably priced. We liked everything and would come back.

The surroundings are just amazing. It is literally paradise when you are lying on the beach looking out to the sea. The staff are very helpful and friendly. We stayed in a casita and it was very comfortable and kept clean every day.

Perfect beach getaway, if you like nightlife this resort will not be for you, but you can always rent golf cart or take water taxi to San Pedro. Best beach on the island, no sea wall!

The resort is nicely situated on the beach with two pools, a giant chess board, ping pong table, free kayaks and paddleboards plus golf carts that you can rent right on the site. The resort is fairly small which was a plus. It was easy to get loungers at the beach and pool. We had a two story pool casita and it was spacious and well organized with a highly usable kitchenette.
